Arif Yusop 




Arif Yusop is a designer and researcher with experiences ranging from graphic and communication design, branding, interaction and experience design to designing for services and systems.

With over a decade of experience spanning graphic design, communication design, art direction, branding, UI/UX design, and service design, Arif has cultivated a robust skill set to take design projects from initial ideation through to successful implementation. His multifaceted background enables him to bring a holistic and dynamic approach to each new project. 

He is an Associate Lecturer of MA Communicating Complexity at Central St Martins, UAL and founding member of Liveable Planet Challenge Lab at the Royal College of Art Service Design, alongside futurist Sanjay Khanna, NOW Partners, Adidas and Dept of transport 

He founded Fikireka on 2016, a brand strategy and design studio and a founding member of Kamar Studio, a sustainable artisan woodwork focusing on reclaimed wood and worskshop. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Design at Royal College of Art about the emerging grassroots alternative futures beyond sustainability.

He holds a MA in Service Design from the Royal College of Art and prior to that, studied MDes in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art.
